Class Description

This class is a 60 minute, acting only class (there is a separate class at 4:30pm for this same age group which is mixed musical theatre and acting). Each week, the lesson is split between playing games and building skills in acting. Students will work on building skills in devising, improvisation, mime, script work etc. and building confidence in speaking in front of others. There is a mix of group work and individual work in this class. In exam terms, students will work towards learning monologues (Grade 4-5 level generally) and practicing answering questions about their monologues for the LAMDA acting exams. In terms when we are not preparing for exams, students have the opportunity to perform in our LAMDA showcase or at concerts. The focus of the class is building skills whilst having fun and this class is open to all 12+ year olds, regardless of prior experience.
