Here's what students explore in this course.
Students will engage with core hacking concepts by exploring the command line, understanding encryption, building strong passwords and learning how attackers think
Learners will investigate how websites work behind the scenes, including requests, forms and data handling, and discover how insecure coding can create vulnerabilities
Students will develop awareness of social engineering by examining phishing, pretexting, voice and AI scams, and understanding how digital footprints can be exploited
Learners will explore wireless and device security by looking at how Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and smart technologies can be attacked or protected
Students will be introduced to digital forensics and incident response by analysing files, identifying suspicious activity and understanding how cyber incidents are investigated
The class runs as an ongoing programme, with students developing deeper skills over time through increasingly complex challenges and scenarios
