Biography
Originally from Los Angeles, Ciara began her training as an actor at the John Kirby Studio, where she studied from the age of 16. She later moved to New York City to continue her training at the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory, developing a strong foundation in acting and musical theatre performance. Ciara now lives in London, where she works as a performer, vocalist, and educator. Alongside her teaching work, she performs regularly on the London jazz scene and enjoys collaborating on the development of new musical theatre, particularly workshopping new musicals and exploring storytelling through song. With a background that bridges musical theatre, jazz, and vocal technique, Ciara brings a curiosity for new work and a passion for expressive, story-driven performance to all aspects of her artistic practice.
Teaching Experience
Ciara has been teaching since 2017, following her graduation from the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory in New York City. She specialises in musical theatre performance and acting through song, helping students develop strong storytelling, vocal technique, and stage confidence. Over the years, Ciara has expanded her teaching repertoire to include classical and jazz vocal styles. She has studied classical voice privately for the past three years while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Vocal Performance and Music Arranging. Her multidisciplinary background allows her to support students across a range of musical styles and technical approaches. Ciara is currently training as a yoga teacher, integrating breathwork, body awareness, and healthy movement into her vocal teaching to support sustainable technique and expressive performance.
Ciara teaches at Bromley Conservatoire on Thursdays.
