Biography​

.Pietro Genova Gaia began studying the violin at the age of seven under the guidance of Maestro Luigi Brusini. At the age of ten, he entered the Conservatory Nicolò Paganini in Genoa, as a student in the class of Maestro Donella Terenzio. During his studies, he had the opportunity to work with great personalities and masters such as Giulio Franzetti, Cristiano Rossi, George Moench, Massimiliano Damerini for the study of chamber music, Bin Huang, Klaidi Sahatci, Jean Lener and finally Eugene Sarbu. This last one was met thanks to the friendship of Roberto Sechi, who had a constant pedagogical presence in his formative life as a musician. Eugene Sarbu in particular greatly impacted his artistic development and refinement so much that he moved to London to be able to be closer to him. After his years at the Conservatory in Genoa, he attended the Universität der Kunste (University of Art) in Berlin, where he was invited to participate as a soloist in the Performance Classes of Marianne Boettcher's class. He holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations reflecting his strong interest in the cultural and political development of society. He collaborates in London with Italian cultural institutions and he often Genova city at events and festivals. In 2022 he graduated at the Royal College of Music with a Master of Performance under the greatly respected and renowned teacher Itzhak Rashkovsky. From an early age, he had the opportunity to perform both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. He dedicated 5 years to the study of the quartet, developing a strong interest and ability for chamber music groups. During the last years of his career, he has been working consistently on piano and violin repertoire, building a strong recognition in the industry. He is regularly invited to participate at Summer festivals to perform as a soloist or as part of chamber music groups. He has played with the Carlo Felice Orchestra in various symphonic productions under the direction of Maestro Pietro Borgonovo and Maestro Giuseppe Acquaviva, he has also played with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra and is invited to play regularly in the Piedmont Youth Orchestra of Ivrea. He performed as a soloist in London with the Orchestra of students of the Royal College of Music. He was a Digital Learning Ambassador at RCM London and winner of the RCM Accelerate which supported his work as Founder and Manager of the concert series at Netherhall House Auditorium, in Hampstead, London. He is the Assistant Artistic Director of Keshet Eilon, an internationally renowned hub of high-quality music and excellence. He has performed on the instrument blessed by the Pope Francis “il violino del Mare” in London, a violin made of the migrants' boat wood, to support the activity of “Casa dello Spirito delle Arti”. He owns and performs on an Emil Pliverics 1938.

Assistant professor at Comservatorio Niccoló Paganini, Genova 2016-2017 Teacher of Violin and Viola at Trillargento Association (Abreu, Kodaly and Suzuki method) 2018-2020 Private teaching for over 6 years both in Italy and England. 2015-Currently Teacher of Royal College of Music Teaching Services 2022-currently
