Class Description

Aural skills are essential to successfully learning an instrument. In this weekly class, students will be guided through the lengthy and challenging requirements for the aural section of a grade 7 or 8 ARBSM instrumental exam. This class is open to students from Grade 6 upwards. It is taught by Helen, an experienced piano, singing and aural teacher. The students will be taught all they need to know for the aural tests including, but not limited to, identifying cadences, singing back melodies, identifying and singing intervals and discussing the style and period of pieces (whilst being given helpful 'cheat sheets' along the way). The sooner students start their aural classes, the greater the chance of success in the exam so sign up today!
