Days 1–3 at the conservatoire
The first three days take place at Bromley Conservatoire. Students audition, learn the songs, dance and scenes, do crafts, and design the programme covers.

Five days, one company, a finished show. Open to every child in the age range — whether they already learn here or not.

In the theatre

Days 4–5 in the theatre
The last two days move into a working theatre — one of the houses used for performing arts showcases. Lighting, sound, seating and backstage space, not a classroom sharing.
Show day is longer
The final day is longer, so the company can tech, run and perform. Families come to see the show.
The house
A proper theatre
The performance is at Beardwood Theatre or the Mitre Theatre — the same working houses used for showcases. The house is confirmed with the dates.

This year's course
Matilda
- Our summer musical theatre course this year will be based on the hit musical (and subsequent film) "Matilda".
- This exciting new course follows on from our successful summer musical theatre courses over the last six years ("Mary Poppins" in 2026, "Shrek" in 2025, "The Lion King" in 2024, "Annie" in 2023, "The Wizard of Oz" in 2022 and "Matilda" in 2021).
- The course runs over 5 days in August (16th - 20th) and includes the following:
- Arts and crafts
- Singing and dancing
- Learning lines and stage directions
- Full preparation for the show
- On the 20th August, the final show will run from 4:00pm. The show will last approximately 45 mins. Friends and family are welcome to attend from 4:00pm.
- The location will be Bromley Conservatoire (23 East Street, BR1 1QE) for 16th - 18th. On the 19th + 20th, the full days will be in the show venue. The venue will either be the Mitre Theatre at Trinity School (CR0 7LB), the Beardwood Theatre at Colfe's School (SE12 8AW) or another venue of similar distance
